Go Bottomles! No Pants Zone…

What's our take on 'No Pants Zone'…
While we're in the era of Shirt dresses, Sweater dresses and Coat dresses - our Go Bottomless - No Pants Zone - is acceptable…

The Haute Reports' Goldan Blue was in a bit of a frenzy over the weekend and forgot her pants!
Two days in a row… HA!

Outfit Details: Knit Sweater - H&M, Booties - Zara, Bag - BCBG Max Azria

Friday started with an oversize sweater, booties and my fringe with benefits
The accessories were kept to a minimum as I tend to be obsessed with minimalist behavior…

This Fall… All about the Knits…

Light Pink fluffy knit V-neck with side slits and gray sling-back booties was a definite go-to for a night out in the Fall.
Comfy, Cozy, Chic and Sexy without Spandex (as one of my FB pals described my look).

A simple trip to H&M and $20 later, folks were asking who designed my dress. The looks on their face when I said, "H&M" with the biggest smile…

H&M definitely has the knitwear that can go from day to evening, just like that…

Outfit Details: Tunic button down - Target, Tee - Marshall's, Platform Loafers - Michael Kors, Leopard cross-body - Michael Kors

On Saturday afternoon, we weren't ready to throw on pants…
So, the layering effect took place with an oversize Tee and a button-down tunic that's quite lengthy in the back (sort of like a high-low dress) and a pair of platform Loafers. The leopard cross-body was just an added bonus of style.

The look was daring and oh-so Saturday-ish! With Sarah Jessica Parker in the back of my mind - "I don't think I've ever spent more than 10 minutes calculating my image" and you can clearly see the 5 minutes it took for me to assemble this ensemble LOL!
However, channeling the boyfriend button down where you wake up with that bedhead and throw on his shirts and slip into his loafers and into the kitchen for coffee was the ideal sexy look of the day…
The remix of Audrey Hepburn but without the crisp white shirt… HA!
Although I felt like Jennifer Beals in Flashdance… smirk…

How to create either of the looks???
Take any oversize sweater/knits, shirts or tees and pair them with your favorite heels, loafers or boots. You may already own the look in your closet!
The key (IMO), if you're going to wear your sweater as a dress, make sure it covers your bottoms, because, bottoms out is not the look we're going for and if you can tame those girls - tame them!!!
For the layering effect - make sure the 1st layer is longer than the top layer. It doesn't look layered if you can't see the bottom layer...

(I know, I should have done a side pic for you to see but I didn't…)

The sweater:

Which bottomless look do you prefer?

Happy Casual Monday!!!!

We're going to rewind to Friday Night Lights!

Fashion Houston five Row Call!!!!
The Kickoff Party at JW Marriott Downtown Houston this past Friday night was AMAZING!!!
The Haute Report was in attendance for some champagne 'n style! HA!

FH5 Kickoff Benefiting Dress for Success Houston…

Fashion Houston five - "Freshest week of Fashion on the Runway in Houston", November 18 - 21st at the Wortham Theatre. Sponsors and Partners include; Houston Audi Dealers, Neal Hamil Agency, Art Institute of Houston, Neiman Marcus, Elizabeth Anthony. Styles from David Beck, Rebecca Minkoff, Tibi, Chloe DAO, Tootsies and this is all just to name a few….
Ready for a week of Haute Runway shows!?!?!??

Let's party first…

Tibi at Neiman Marcus…
We're loving this look for the Fall/Winter seasons...
Elegance you can take anywhere…

The venue was my kind of Haute!
Lights! Cameras! Art!

Models were taking the stage giving us sneak                       peaks of whats to come.
The bar was open, filling glasses with wine,          champagnes and cocktails of your choice.
Lots of Familiar faces from models to          bloggers, photographers, stylist, designers
                             and so forth…
When you're on the Houston fashion scene you begin to see a lot of the same faces around                      when attending events.

The Haute Report went on a Style Crush…
While the models were beautiful, I was      crushing on the style of the party-goers and    started snapping pics instead of dancing…

Enjoying haute looks as you sip and mingle… Or drink… LOL!

This style crush gave me a twist of Janelle Monae. The hat and cape like blazer took a simple dress to the next level.

These Fly Gents HTX Men's Fashion Bloggers @gentsofhouston know how to step out!
And they definitely caught my eye…

Found this hautie walking around the venue. Crystal Westbrooks! I'm so obsessed with her style. I love her love for cool funky pants…

Hey, look who I bumped into…
He looks so different with his shirt on…
Insider: I've seen him work a few shows and always, with his shirt off… LOL!!!

Live performances were also taking place and this little songstress Ashley Toman stole my heart with her amazing soulful voice.
Almost a mixture of Adele and Corinne Bailey Rae to my ears…

Bathroom Selfies -
Haute! Haute! Haute!

The FH5 Kickoff Party was a blast!!!!!!
With so much style and fashion in the place (this only being a glimpse) you can imagine what the week of November 18 - 21st will be like!
Haute! Chic! Fun!
And all about fashion! Just how we like it!

Get ready for the Runways Houston!!!

The Haute Report will definitely be in the house to see who's got style!

Style Crush of the Week: Rita Ora

Style Crush Friday…

The Haute Report had a huge style crush this week and it was with Ms. Rita Ora - Style Icon!

The pictures hit the net on Monday and we have yet to get over it!

Honestly, I've been looking at these photos all week and it doesn't matter how much I glance over the photos, she definitely gives me Tomboy Chic life!

Monday morning, Rita Ora hit up BBC Radio 1 in London wearing this 70's inspired Dungarees by Stella McCartney paired with a White Silk Blouse and a Burgundy Fedora.
The accessories were kept to a minimum bringing more noise to this Tomboy ensemble.

Minimalist behavior!!!

Take a closer look at the Style Icon and you're guaranteed to fall in love!!!

Crushing all the way to the mall… LOL!!!

The look can be channeled with a baggy pair of denim Overalls/Dungarees (wide-leg preferably), a chic blouse and a cool hat to set it off! Any crisp blouse will suffice. Want a more girly look? Try a floppy hat rather than a fedora and BOOM!
You've channeled Rita Ora's savvy Dungarees, Tomboy Chic ensemble…

I was feeling a little Rita Ora-ish this week (somewhat… smirk) and brought out these menswear cool boys!
Michael Kors Dakota Studded Leather Loafers (chunky platforms). Tomboy Haute all the way to the bank. The loafers are beyond comfortable and give you that extra height that some of us short women crave for. Pair them with your boyfriend jeans, midi skirt or dress, or maybe a cigarette trouser. Either way, these babies are sure to spice up any Tomboy remix or Chic Street affair.

Who says Michael Kors was outdated???? NEVER!!!
You just have to know what to buy! Unless your shopping his "signature logo" collection then yes, I wouldn't recommend walking around with MK plastered all over you… HA!

Rock'em or Knock'em!?!!

Happy Friday Lovebugs!!!!

Giorgio Armani & Armani Collezioni TS for Neiman Marcus

What's Haute at our favorite Neiman Marcus???

Giorgio Armani & Armani Collezioni Fall/Winter!!!

The Haute Report was in attendance for the Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus, last week. And you know what???
The Separates. The Outerwear. The Bags!!!

I'll just start here - since ole ditzy had too much coffee and did not capture the setup for the days trunk show.

The lovely A-line dress that has been dubbed by Armani Collezioni as "Flowers over the Rainbow". A chic, silk/polyester floral print that adds a twist of life to this A-line beauty.

Carrying the Rhino bag in lux Osterich skin that was featured on the Runways!?!!

An ombre Rabbit Fur that's very lightweight and beyond gorgeous! The shape and sleeves are the show stoppers here! You can clearly see the love for mixing textures.
This beauty will definitely turn heads, mixed and blended!

Carrying Armani's best-selling silhouette, Charnie're Dore'e bag in Black Osterich.

An insider on the handbags: Limited collection at Neiman Marcus. Very unique or exclusive with maybe like 1 or 2 of its kind in the world!?!! Doesn't get any better than that!!!

Left to right: Shearling coat - rich looking in blonde. The Cape - Cashmere Wool blend in a vibrant red (color of the season). The season is bringing the mean greens out! Take this Black and Lime Green Hautie. Its hand-cut leathers that are sewn together makes it sort of a cocoon shape and an extreme knock-out!

The Tiered Scuba Leather with the front zipper is EVERYTHING!!!!!

Left: The deep, deep Green Machine! Armani's talking deep hues of Green and Emerald tones. The wide-leg pants and the overcoat - definitely on point for the season!
Carrying a Forest Green Croc that also comes with a cross-body strap for the weekend.

Right: White in the Winter! Cashmere and silk, A-line coat that hangs perfectly on the ladies silhouette.
Carrying the ultimate exclusive Croc for Neiman Marcus - the only one in the world!

Something for the Evening but not feeling like a Gown Night? Suits, please!

Left: Capturing the Global Chic trend… Eyecap print jacket layered over a black and white jumper - means serious business!

Right: The Suit of all Suits! A Charcoal Gray Satin Beaded Suit with belted jacket and wide-leg pants. A Classic!

The Black Gown that needs no introduction or explanation!!!

Noting that not every Neiman Marcus location has the Gowns but Houston does…

Armani steals our hearts even more with his choice of Deep Greens! The curly Lamb Shearling Fur paired with a Sequined Midi Dress (100% jersey! It stretches! We all love a good stretch. Like music to our ears. LOL!), all around Glam!

Reminds me of old Hollywood and it's available at Neiman Marcus Houston Galleria as shown on display.

Not to forget the Bags and Accessories were to DIE FOR!! Like twice! Armani's one-of-a-kind Crocs and Osterich bags, exclusive-limited Collections for Neiman Marcus ~ Icing on the Cake! Seriously, when is the last time you saw a Chocolate Osterich bag? Okay, or a Green and Black Velvet Clutch? I'll wait…

Get my drift? Well, you really don't have to "get my drift" as Giorgio Armani speaks for itself!

All we're saying is that we attended the Armani Trunk Show for Neiman Marcus and it was everything Haute!
True to the Brand it stands!
Glamorous!
Impeccably crafted with the different works of textures, colors, silhouettes and detailing, bringing a new life to our wardrobes for the Fall/Winter seasons.

Need I say more???

The photos displayed were our favorite picks, okay, all of it was our favorites but we wanted to tease you and only share some… HA!

Thoughts on The Haute Reports favorites from the collection?

Casual Monday's: Overall… Wedges & Fringe with Benefits

Happy Casual Monday Hauties!!!!

Rewind to a few days ago...
Overall, it was a good day with Wedges & Fringe Benefits!

Mixing the 'Old' with the 'New' is one of the oldest tricks in a fashionistas book!

Overalls continue to be redefined in every shape, form and fashion (wink). Denim overalls appear to be on the never-ending trend list and distressed in a major way. Step outside the denim for more of a Chic Street affair.

So, how do you take the hautest Fall trends and make it your own with what's already in your closet???

Goldan tells all…

Overalls, Wedge Booties, Fringe bags and return of the Turtlenecks are on The Haute Report for this Fall Season. Also noting that army/camouflage colors are always in style and easy to mix/match.

I took this Season's Fall trends and put it all in one ensemble. From the army green overalls to the khaki colored turtleneck and nude hues for the feet and hand.

But the real winner here - My Fringe Binge and Wedge Booties!!!

P.S. Try not to take pics when you've been working hard and your photog doesn't tell you that you're working so hard there is a sweat spot on the armpits of your top... smirk... LOL!

Outfit Details: Turtleneck - Zara (basics), Polyester Overalls - BeBe (outlets), Wedge Booties - Em & Lee Boutique, Fringe Bag - BCBGmaxazria, Accessories - Charming Charlie and All the Wire, Hair - well, you know….

The overalls just never seem to get old and have been in my closet for a few years. My short-sleeve turtleneck is from last Fall and the wedge booties were purchased last Spring. However, the fringe with benefits is the up-and-comer…

Remix them in any way that you like! But these haute babies are a cozy chic, must have

All items in the ensemble were Haute Fab Finds! The top was $15. Wedge booties - $25. Overalls - $10. The look was around $50, minus the bag and accessories. However, the bag was 30% off just a little over $100. But the overalls have to be the best $10 investment I have ever made…

Take a peak at how I wore the same overalls, earlier this year, on the 'Round the way Girl' blog by pairing them with a blue tee, a velvet olive green blazer and cherry red patent pumps.

Who Rocked it better!?!???

L'Objet the Luxurious Home Functionality: Interview with Elad Yifrach

Happy, Happy Friday!!!!

Looking for a little Home Decor Inspiration????
L'Objet brings Luxurious Function to the Home with unique one of a kind handcrafted designs by the world's foremost master Artisans, making L'Objet a reality when enhancing the finest homes, tables and desk, both luxurious and functional.

The Haute Report interviews the man behind it all - Elad Yifrach, Founder & Creative Director of L'Objet. But first, how about a little scoop on Elad and the creation of L'Objet - the remarkable artwork that adds more than luxurious function to your home.

"L’OBJET is the vision of Elad Yifrach, who prior to founding the company in 2004, enjoyed a successful career as a young interior designer in Beverly Hills, California. There he honed his eye and cultivated a singular taste and style that is uniquely his own. While working on behalf of his  discerning clients, Elad recognized avoid in the marketplace for luxury tabletop products that equally embraced beauty, meticulous craftsmanship and functionality. After many months of inspired exploration and sourcing the world’s foremost artisans to
make his designs a reality, L’OBJET was born.

Born and raised in Israel, Elad was exposed to the region’s rich culture, its natural beauty and the spirit of its neighboring exotic lands from an early age. As a lifelong traveler and devotee of the Mediterranean, Elad continuously draws inspiration for L’OBJET from the region’s people and ways as well as its venerable traditions of craft: the elegant architecture of a Grecian island skyline can be seen in the rounded pearl filigree of the Perlee Blue dinnerware or the vibrant spirit of the Italian people are reflected in the bold prints of the exclusive L’OBJET Pour Fortuny collection.

In 2012, L’OBJET partnered with Fortuny, the legendary Italian fashion and textile design house, to create L’OBJET Pour Fortuny. For the first time in Fortuny’s nearly 100 year history, they have chosen to align their brand with another, selecting L’OBJET to create a curated collection of dinnerware, serving pieces, frames and candles using signature Fortuny patterns to reinterpret the iconic brand. L’OBJET Pour Fortuny is a harmonious union of style, color, pattern and an affirmation of both brand’s commitment to quality and design."

“I am passionate about creating beautiful objects to enhance the finest homes, tables and desks,” said EladYifrach, Founder and Creative Director. “The spirit, natural beauty and striking architecture of the Mediterranean, from which I come from, are a constant source of inspiration for every L’OBJET piece I design.”

Let's get this interview started....

GB: I've read your bio about how you were a young successful Interior Designer in Beverly Hills, CA and realized there was something missing when it came to luxury tabletop products. And, here, you are today, the man beind L'Objet! And please excuse me as I'm new to your products and I feel it's indeed love at first sight. I can clearly see the beautiful craftsmanship and works of art in your collections.

GB: Tells us a little about your collection? If you had to describe it in a few words.

EY: It's a true collected objects that are inspired by memories, by places that I travel to and people that I meet. I try to bring a solvent of craft into life with objects. So, Whether its with porcelain or with metal or with leather I try to kind of work to bring something unique to it.

GB: Although your pieces are true works of art it's also functional. Meaning it could be artwork for your  dinner table or desktops or you can simply just eat on pure pieces of art, right? LOL!

EY: Right!

GB: The designs are impeccable! And you go through great measures giving it all that you've got to make the best and the best it is. Is there more to that?

EY: I always say the world has enough product, the world doesn't need more product. But the world needs better product. So, how would you create is better than what already exist? Is kind of the question I always lead when I design. And when I look at something at the end, I say okay, so you design something, it could be pretty, it could be different but how is it better than anything else out there? I feel like when you come from that place, then you feel like you've brought something meaningful to the market. And that's kind of the guiding voice.

GB: Do you have a favorite piece from your collection? What makes it your favorite? Is there a story behind it?

EY: I love our candles. I think they're very special because most candles come in glass containers and specially when I give gifts, I like someone to hold it for a long time and have it. I feel that with our candles because they're made out of porcelain and they have such a beautiful finishing and feel, its like a box. When the candle has burned, you have a beautiful piece that's left and it's decorative. You could use it to put like chocolates or you can use it for your earrings or your culf-links or you know, Q-tips or whatever. But it last, the purpose last, just beyond the candle and I like that.

GB: With the unique craftsmanship and all around beauty, we can definitely see your collection as being part of the family for years to come, being passed down from generation to generation. That must be exciting, huh?

EY: Yeah, but thats going back to making sure that you bring "better product" because "better product" last. So, yeah...

GB: Now, L'Objet partnered with Fortuny the Legendary Italian Fashion House in 2012. Has that teamwork between the two, giving you more inspiration when cultivating this luxurious Artwork?

EY: Yes, the access to their archives and up until then, I didn't do a lot of color and then it kind of opened my eyes to start daring more with color and introducing things that are more colorful. And giving the color of my own interpretation that was a very big growth for me as a designer and at the same time also the pleasure and honor of working with such an established and prestigious House of Fabrics was such a big deal for us.

GB: Do you ever miss or do you actually, still enjoy Interior Design or miss it?

EY: Mainly for my friends or myself. I enjoy it. When I get the time. (Chuckles)

GB: I'm simple when it comes to decorating my home I just get the stuff in there and I'm like, "oh, it looks like it's comfortable right here" and I just plop down. (Laughs)

EY: Sometimes, that's all it needs. Sometimes, when you fuss with it too much , it's just fussy, you know. It's like dressing, you can put on a dress and just a pair of earrings and look fabulous but the more you add, sometimes it just gets lost. You know, like, less is more.

GB: Right!?!!! Less is more elegant, in my opinion.

GB: Hmmm... So, a Dinner Party isn't a Dinner Party until L'Objet pieces are involved. HA! The ultimate Dinner Party.

EY: Yes, That's True! That's True! (Chuckles)

GB: What's next for L'Objet?

EY: Keep evolving as a brand. Keep adding more and more categories that are going to be different and continue the story. The past year we invested a lot into the library objects and desk objects and now we want to go more into home fragrance and refine every category that we have, refine it to the next level.

After the interview, I had an absolute blast as I received a tour of the Luxurious L'Objet pieces, learning all that I need to know - which I am now a huge fan!!!! I'm usually lazy when it comes to decorating my home but I'm seriously rethinking my life. I need to grow up and get some real Home Decor. HA! L'Objet take me away!!!

Time to marvel over some favorites on display. A picture frame is not a picture frame until you upgrade your game to L'Objet. Meticulously handcrafted, plated with 24K gold or platinum, jeweled with Swarovski crystals. Even the back of the frames are stylish with real leather. In the event that you need to turn a picture around or lay it flat on it's face, your frame will still look Haute.

The Candles were just as Elad described, a master piece that you could keep forever! Hand-sculpted finials, hand-gilded 24K gold, and scents of Pink Champagne or Vetiver D'Orient. I particularly loved the Crocodile and Elephant candles - soooo, Chic Street!
Once, the candle burns out, imagine it being a special holder of your precious goods.

Or, how about the Napkin jewels or Spice jewels like the ones displayed above. The Snake - Napkin holder and the Turtle - Salt & Pepper shaker, both are 24K gold or platinum plated metals and with Swarovski crystals making this top of the line Haute!

The saying goes, "Feeling Blue Never Felt Better!" with L'Objet Lapis Collection. Dessert among the Stars! Not only that, Goldan Blue Style!!!!

Love at 1st sight has been underrated!!!!!

Have dinner like none other with the ultimate luxurious dinnerware!!!!
Fine China that will never leave the family tree! Tea parties and Coffee will never be the same. The Pinecone Place card holders adorned with 24k gold and again, hand-set Swarovski crystals and semi-precious gemstones.
I can't stop drooling! Hopefully, I didn't drip any drool on this beautiful collection of Art...

The Crocodile dream team appears to be more geared towards the Man of Style but I can see this just about anywhere in the home outside of his office and/or man cave. Versatility that can go in his or her bathroom, tabletops, desktops and can even be used as jewelry holders for both the Ladies and Gents. Whatever your desire.
But to have Crocodile coasters!?!???!!! That's real luxury that can't be touched!

The Gold Snake Book-ends that are to die for!!!!
This will definitely keep your guest in awe as well as your home.
Luxury that needs no introduction or explanation!!!!

Gravy, anyone! Psych!!! Well, for myself but I don't think I would pass this around the table to guest. It would be for myself, only. Keep your hands off my Black & White Swans!!!! HA! Don't lay a finger... Just kidding....

Already decorating my home with the Luxurious L'Objet!!! Well, the catalogs...
You know, as a reminder to myself, to step up my game on the Home Decor, when I grow up!
But, we definitely have our eyes on quite a few pieces that we would love to decorate our homes with as soon as possible! And with the Holiday approaching, I got a few ideas for some gifts that I would absolutely love to be given! LOL!!!!

There you have it! The Haute Report takes on L'Objet and interviews the Extraordinaire Founder and Creative Director - Elad Yifrach!

It was great sitting down and speaking with Elad the man behind it all! We learned a lot about his collections and it's Loud and Clear, why L'Objet is L'Objet!!!

From a dinner plate that is layered then fired three times with 24k gold fired to achieve the
optimal rich glow of the precious metal to hand etched frames using small needles by Venetian jewelers tocreate a distinctive texture, Elad has designed small works of art.

Style of M. Penner: Fab Finds!!!

Over the weekend, The Haute Report strolled into M. Penner of Houston in Uptown Plaza for their Peserico Spring '15 Trunk Show 10/9-11.

Always on the hunt for what's Haute! We had to check out one of Italy's finest sportswear and knitwear brands.

M. Penner of Houston - Our "trunk" is full of styles, you will not otherwise see for Spring!"
- They are sooooo right!!!

Gawking over some of the chic-est (is that even  a word?) knitwear and dresses. Which will I choose??? Then, my heart drops - All Peserico apparel were a size 42 (Italy), which translates to a size 6 (U.S.). I'm too tiny…

However, there's a lot to love here at M. Penner. Primarily, a Man of Style menswear store but they didn't forget about the ladies apparel and accessories. The ladies may not have a huge section but they definitely carry some of the best designer brands, i.e; Peserico, Vince, Trina Turk, AG jeans and Moschino Cheap & Chic, just to name a few.

For the "Men of Style" - M. Penner is like a kid in the candy store. I'll just leave it at that. No spoiler alert! Otay! Maybe just a hint. I believe, Men of Style take their shoes just as serious as the ladies do. So, of course - had to check them out! From Magnanni, Donald J. Pliner, John Varvatos & Salvadore Ferragamo, just to give you a taste.

And then, there were socks!!!! Not any ole socks either. Vivek Nagrani luxury socks!!!

I want! I want! I want!

Nowadays, socks can be a huge part of your wardrobe for the dapper male. Just ask Tom Zizka of FOX26 News, who always shows off his M. Penner socks on the show.

Fellas, time to show off those socks!

Yes! The girl bought a pair of VK Nagrani socks for men! And, I also had them gift wrapped for myself as a little appreciation.  Well, because, I deserved it! HA!

Although, I was in-store for Peserico trunk show, I kept being distracted by the men socks. When the ladies start wearing men socks - it's Real! LOL! Shrugs…

P.S. I've never been a fan of socks. Growing up, I always wore my brothers socks. In fact, I don't buy socks at all. Usually, I wait for my mother or grandmother to buy them (shrugs…). I mean the only time I ever recall purchasing socks, I was out of town and needed socks to go jogging. So, I pulled up to a Family Dollar and bought a pair for $2.00.

Forever in love with my new VK Nagrani socks!!! The designs and material give you that feeling of luxury on your toes.
I can't seem to stop rubbing my feet together with them on… LOL!

My first pair of socks that I ever really purchased! And, I'm feeling superb about my choice!

Keep in mind… The Holidays are approaching fast. Great gifts will come about with a little M. Penner shopping for the Ladies & Gents!

What's your take? Rock'em or Knock'em???

Feel free to travel The Haute Report archives for the blog we did on a Fashion Show at  M. Penner earlier this year; Men's Dress for Dinner, Sox, Love and Rock 'n Roll which also showcased Vivek Nagrani socks…

MUAH!!!

Happy Hump Day!
