Leather Skirts Part 1

Yes, the Leather Skirt! Indeed a keeper. It can be edgy, classy, chic, urban, eclectic, bohemia or whatever style you're going for just get the leather.

I would definitely call this a timeless piece in the closet and depending on how you style it, this can work for any occasion.

Leather never goes out of style and I mean "NEVER"! What appears to have changed is the variety such as midi, pleated, skater, long, short and so many different colors to choose from that it'll make your head spin this season.

What leather skirts do you think is Haute this season?

In Love with Floral Print

I have been in love with Floral prints this year. Usually, I'm all blue, black, brown and grey but this year I fell in love with Floral. Looking for something more girlie? Try adding some floral print to the wardrobe. Mix-n-match the prints if you would, but don't go overboard with it, keep it Chic and simple.

The White T-Shirt Mix

You can never go wrong with a Chic white T-Shirt. I don't believe in the "no white" after Labor day thing and the color is just Super Haute right now. Have fun with your T-shirts and try wearing them as a dress sometimes  for a more Flirty Street Style.

Buying your T-shirts a size or two bigger is perfect for making a Shirt Dress.

The Natural Girl Haute

Scrolling through Essence.com and I came across some Street Style that made me smile, so, I just had to share.

What I love about the styles is the personality. Especially, for natural women like myself. It's a great mixture from Chic, Bohemia, Grunge, Jazzy, and just full of personal style.

It's Midi Season!!!

The Midi skirts are trending BIG, right now. Whether you decide to go printed, solid or whatever rocks your boat, this is the ultimate sexy skirt in my opinion.

I went with something edgy for that Chic Street vibe. However, this skirt can be worn many different ways. A simple blazer could give it that Classy Chic look. Or pair it with a womans blouse, jean shirt or even a graphic sweater. But whatever you do, the midi needs to be included this season.

Some things just never go out of Style

Don't be afraid to wear those old clothes you have stashed away. As we all know, fashion just repeats itself for the most part. Although, there are some things that should not be repeated like the baggy clothes era. (chuckles)

Key items you should always keep in your closet: The Boyfriend Jeans, whether they're ripped or not, these babies never and I mean "never" go out of style. A playful, graphic sweater will add that exta oomph in any season. Then you have the classic Booties which are totally timeless in my book. And of course, a lady should always over indulge in accessories (even though I'm not really wearing any).

I pulled this little ensemble from my archives. All items were purchased at least a few years back. Making purchases that are timeless, helps the pocketbook if you're a Diva on a dime like I am. Glad I stashed these instead of trashing them because the time has come, again, for the Boyfriend/Tomboy look.

Dress to be Dressed

Can I get dressed just to be dressed? I sure can and a lot of times I'm doing just that. Whether I'm being a bit lazy and hanging around my apartment or making a few runs (shopping), I'm dressed. I may not be a big fan of ironing or dry cleaning (as you can see) but my style is always about the confidence I have no matter what I'm wearing.

The Coral wide-leg trousers are one of my all time favorites (any color will suffice). Great for work, playing, hanging or just being relaxed, I love the classic fit. Mix it up a little bit. Add a sloppy t-shirt for that Street Chic vibe but I would keep the accessories simple for a more Jazzy look. Cobalt and Navy bags are a MUST have item this fall. So, if you already have them stored in your archives, it's time to pull them out and yell, "All aboard". (Big Chuckles)

P.S. I'm still camera shy and hate taking pictures but I'm an aspiring Stylist not model...

Haute Haute Haute

Late post from the other day but here I am. An evening out on the town, shopping. In Texas, it's always extremely HOT. I don't even think I wanted to get dressed that day. But anywho, I'm in love with these BCBG shorts, paired with a v-neck and animal print booties.

Keep it simple, effortless and Chic at all times.

The Haute Report - All about the Shoes!

It's "always" all about the shoes. This fall, the hair-calf Animal Print shoes are back! Although, they never really left . (Chuckles).. Anywho, whether you're rocking the Pumps, Booties, Boots or Flats, these babies are large and will add a little spiciness to any outfit of choice.

Buying shoes that are timeless can do a lot for a Diva on a dime because they're always in Style, no matter the season or times. I pulled these from my closet for this fall (purchased last year). Glad I never gave them away because I'm right on point for what's Haute right now.

Pair them with anything from skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, leggings, plain jane pants, to dresses, midi-skirts, A-line skirts, mini's, skater skirts and I can go on and on, on how to style these babies. Stay tuned and you'll see how I rock these out this Fall.

P.S. I feel like I just saved money on my car insurance by keeping these. No need to go out and buy new ones.

Chic Street Remix

Another Chic Street Remix. Style not Swag and I'm on the go. I LOVE these pants I picked up from Target last Spring and they're still going to be Haute this Fall. You can Style these with so many different tops from Denim, solid colors, funky prints, stripes and my favorite Polka Dots.

To Jazz things up a bit, add a Blazer with Pumps to give it that Chic vibe. But this can also go great with flats for a more relaxed look. In regards to accessories, keep it simple. Mix matching different prints is already enough, so you don't want to go overboard.
